Guatemalan coffee is renowned for its rich, complex flavours & the Huehuetenango region is known for its high elevations, unique microclimates, & volcanic, nutrient-rich soils. Farms here benefit from the cool, mountain nights & dry, warm winds that sweep in from Mexico’s Tehuantepec plains that prevent frost at higher altitudes. These conditions allow for slow cherry maturation that produce dense beans with bright acidity & layered flavors. Handpicking ensures superior harvests while traditional wet processing preserves the bright & clean cup-quality.

The Asociación de Apicultores y Caficultores is comprised of small-scale coffee producers who collectively manage 267 hectares devoted to organic-certified coffee. Some of their objectives include improving the living conditions for families & preserving the land for future generations. Their commitment to teamwork & sustainability underscores the association’s role in creating social & agricultural resilience.

Both complex & subtle, Guatemala Los Laureles features distinctive & delicate fruit notes that compliment the buttery-chocolate body & a sweet-floral aroma. Medium roasting produced a rich, milk-chocolate body with hints of tropical-fruit on the front & a pleasingly-mild, soft cherry finish. This coffee is best prepared using your favorite drip brew method—just be sure to make an extra cup!
